US$100/375 SAR per 60 minute session. I also offer a sliding scale to those in need, as well as a 20% discount for educators.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer or email transfer.
I do not bill directly to insurance. Please review your insurer's policy related to mental health services to find out more about what type of providers are covered, what the deductible is and what percentage you will be reimbursed. You can share with your insurer that I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
Please fill in the contact form to set up your first appointment. Once you become a client, we will set up sessions together or via email.
If something comes up, please get in touch with me. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session or you will be charged the full fee. If I have to cancel our session and I do not give you 24 hours notice, you will be given a free session.
Therapy can be both short and long term. It depends on what the client is looking for and their unique needs, goals, resources, engagement and support networks. A client may need weekly therapy at a regular cadence for a few months and then decide to go longer between sessions, or schedule sessions on a needs basis.
The client therapist relationship is one of the key ingredients for effective therapy. It is essential that you find a therapist you feel safe with, whose approach speaks to you and someone who you can see yourself building a relationship with. Part of the reason I offer all clients a 20-minute free consultation is for us to get to know one another and to answer any questions the client may have about my approach, the way I work and my background.
Let that part know it is okay to feel scared and unsure about therapy. Ask that part what concerns it has about starting therapy? Let that part know that you will make sure you find the right therapist before you proceed with therapy and get its permission to begin.
Confidentiality is one of the most critical aspects of the psychotherapy profession. When we agree to work together, you are required to sign an informed consent form, which will further explain all of the aspects and limits to confidentiality. I will also share information about client records, where that information is stored and who has access to that information.
To learn more about the standards of confidentiality which my practice is based on, you can go to the CRPO's website.
