My Approach

All parts are welcome

My role as a psychotherapist is to create a space where curiosity, compassion, and radical acceptance are held to enable you to get to know your Self better and move toward healing. My role is walking alongside you through the ups and downs of life. The client is always at the center of my approach. Each human, sometimes with varying levels of support, can direct their work in therapy. As equal partners and collaborators in therapy, we work together to explore, get curious, connect, and dig deep into all parts.

My therapeutic approach is based on the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and integrates mindfulness, breath work, and somatic interventions. The body, mind, and brain are integrated into my therapeutic approach. Our bodies often hold onto experiences and memories that we may not even be aware of. Part of our work together is to get to know our bodies and any somatic symptoms we may be experiencing.

I am passionate about the IFS model and approach, which informs the foundation of my work with clients. IFS is an evidence-based psychotherapeutic model that is non-pathological and integrates both human cognitive and emotional life. At the heart of IFS is the concept of parts and understanding how these different parts interact, much like a family inside of us. To learn more about IFS, I invite you to read Derek Scott’s recent article.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful therapeutic approach that helps you explore and understand the different parts of your inner self. By addressing inner conflicts and fostering compassion for all parts of yourself, IFS empowers lasting emotional healing.
